Job Posting Clinical Supervisor

Nelson Community Services (NCS) is recruiting for a Clinical Supervisor for fifteen hours per month to support our seasoned team of counsellors. The work will involve regular clinical supervision and supporting program development with your clinical knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling with demonstrable clinical supervision skills and a rich and varied counseling background.

JOB POST YOUTH OUTREACH WORKER

Nelson Community Services Centre is seeking a suitable candidate to fill our Youth Outreach Worker position on a temporary basis.  The worker will provide outreach support to youth (12-19) identified by individuals, community agencies, and schools as being at-risk or potentially at-risk. To view the full job description click here

Key Duties:

  • Provide outreach support services and practical assistance to at-risk youth aged 12 – 19.
  • Assess suitability to program; identify client needs and establish appropriate service plans.
  • Advocate for youth, where and as needed; make referrals, as appropriate
  • Establish and maintain professional contact with schools, community agencies, Ministry offices, and other resources that can aid youth in meeting their needs
  • Maintain client files; gather and submit data to relevant bodies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a diploma in human services or the equivalent combination of education and experience plus a minimum of three months’ direct service delivery in social service sector
  • Knowledge of theory, principles, and practices in the field of at-risk youth
  • Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills and an ability to work independently
  • Valid Class IV Driver’s License; have access to a reliable, safe, clean vehicle with appropriate insurance
  • Valid First Aid Certificate

This part-time temporary position until October 31st 2022 (28 hours/week) begins immediately and requires continued Union membership with BCGEU. The wage is consistent with Wage Grid 12 [$24.48 – $28.52] of the Collective Agreement. This position is open to male and female applicants.
