A GIFT IN YOUR WILL

Legacy giving
is planning for a future gift to a cause that you believe in.

       Wills and Bequests

Bequests may come in the form of a percentage of your estate, specific cash amount, property, securities or other assets. A charitable bequest has no effect on you financially in your lifetime and is one of the simplest and most flexible ways to create a lasting legacy.

A bequest is a lasting gift from the heart with practical benefits to your surviving heirs. Your estate receives a tax receipt for the full amount of the donation, which may offset capital gains or other taxes due. You may designate the gift to specific programs, or allow Nelson Community Services to put it to work where most needed at the time.

Leaving a bequest to Nelson Community Services will help to maintain services to families, youth and individuals in the Nelson community. Providing a variety of services for youth enables them to advance to an enriched adulthood; providing family support programs to strengthen parents’ ability ensures the health and safety of their children.

Please consider becoming a
